Hi Folks, Thanks for taking the time to look at my problem. When i switch off the the wipers they stop on for a while then go off after a period of time. When i try the intermittent option they sometimes work intermittently and sometimes not. Which would be the best option to change, relays if applicable or switch mech on steering arm.

Thanks in advance of any advice.:)

Andy.

check output for intermittent ,at switch loom connection ,and feed at motor ,could be both but are cheap

Had a similar problem with mine. Took the end off the wiper motor and cleaned all the contacts, then sprayed with WD40. Problem solved.
It might work on yours, and it's worth a try.

park swtich is in motor box it shouldnt allow wipers to stop till they reach end of stroke (park position)

Have a look here for a photo of the park switch.

Its located inside the wiper motor, which itself is fixed to the inside left of the bulkhead, behind the dashboard.

Loads of threads on here about changing the park switch if you do a search. Takes about 20 mins to do.

Just want to thank all the feed back. It was the park switch clean and a squirt of WD40 did the trick..

Many Many Thanks Great forum.

Cheers

Pleased you got it sorted, if it happens again just put a new switch in ... cost about £10. ;)
