Hiya I'm wondering if someone can help me I received my winch today got it fitted and wired but when I power it the negative on my battery sparks..

Any ideas why?

Do you mean you are connecting the negative on to the battery to power it up or do you have an isolator?

I bought a Warrior Apache heard there decent for £260 and I don't really need a winch just got it so I can wonder off in one jeep and not be scared of getting stuck. I connected the earth straight to the battery like it said in the instructions from the solenoid but I've been reading that just connecting to the car chassis will be fine like I thought it would be in the first place

As in jeep I meant my landy haha sorry I call it all sorts from landy to jeep to truck :) it's even got a new nickname at work.. The hillbilly truck lol!

So back to topic: can you post pictures of how you've wired it up? This would help in diagnosing your problem.

Lol I wasn't asking the difference between a Scania and Land Rover I was asking about my winch..

I've sorted it now though the earth that comes out of the solenoid wasn't connected inside

The negative will likely be a bolt on the motor and there will be a positive to the solenoid then f1, f2 and A, this diagram should help
