you are a mug if you use a capstan on your own but there are a lot of mugs around. Just ask a sensible question on this forum and watch them come out of the woodwork lmfao

We're still waiting for you to tell us why? And before you say it's in case you go out on your own and get stuck. You'd have to be an even bigger ****ing mug for going out on your own.
 
You have yet to expalin how if you use a capstan on your own you are a mug?

I would rather a capstain that a Electric one because it is more reliable, you have alot more control (You can feel when something is going to break, unlike a electric one where you keep pressing a button till the wire rope snaps and takes your head off).

I could probably think of other reasons why they are much better.

you can use multi-strand synthetic rope........... but you can hear when steel is going to go if your not using a warn (fookin click like bastids)
