hi hope someone can help i want to put a winch on my series 111 all the bumpers i see for sale are for defenders will this fit my series 111. cheers

start engine. use hand throttle to increase revs slightly.

Throw lever on capstan

Chuck a loop of rope around capstan.

Take strain.

Piece of ****.

how many arms you got sean?

2

it's just dawned on me that DJ might just have the 1 arm, maybe that'd explain his question and why he thinks 2 peeps (or 2 arms) are needed to operate a caps winch

DJ if you've just got the 1 arm i'm sorry for assuming you were a numpty

did you carry out a dynamic risk assesment first ?

aye i looked at the spreader though thats gotta be shifted, then i got a gert big rope tied it to the hitch, made a double loop round the capstan set me revs on me hand throttle popped the transfer box in neutral stuck the main box in 2nd, pulled the lever on the capstan and then took the strain

it was a hydraulic capstan on a series 2a hence the gear selection

your right what you call yourself on the bottom of your page

Let me see if I've got this right. I can use a capstan winch without needing any help. You can't? and that makes me the Cuunt. Ya logic is impeccable
