if i had a patten i would be tempted to get them laser cut so they are spot on
then work from that.
take my time over the winter in the garage ginding and tig welding
 
Looks like i will end up doing that
Main items good strong bed for winch and recovery points .
Want to use those swivel joints . Cant remember the name of them . The ones that go through a hole and held inplace with circlip to put shackels on .
Dont like some bumpers that have thick lugs welded on to front of bumper .
 
I've got a laser cutter and all the kit and was going to make a steel bumper. They do look far better than the original plastic. But.... my D2's an old vehicle, useless off road and I'd rather have a Defender. So the project is on hold :rolleyes:
 
That bullbar won't help with that, you want an arb. LR original bullbar a aren't the strongest metal but they do well for protecting against light stuff like small branches and light theifs

You havent seen the added strength i have added to mine since....well 'ard now :D
 
Its pi$$ing down and dark, plus most of the stuff you can't see now its fitted, and i certainly ain't taking it off in a hurry :p :D
