Must haves for me in a rear winch:
Must be no lower than chassis rails,
Must not be rearward of bumper,
Must be able to operate without messing about opening doors etc.

There is some bolt on crap for a defender that has a foot extra rear overhang in which they mount a winch to which means you need a winch to get that extra foot of overhang and scrap metal hung up on even the smallest kerb. I must say I'm tempted for my 90 as i may well be using it to tow my trials motor to events and a decent winch enough to drag dead wheels locked up motor onto the trailer would be a great benefit on the odd occasion i wrap it around the nearest tree safari racing.
