got rid of my first one as it was a disaster - bought a lovely low mileage 2005 SE discovery 2 years ago and this year alone its cost £1000 after suspension failed. The electrics have been a nightmare, park brake assist light keeps coming on and for good measure thats the turbo failed. Landrover quoting £2800 for a new one (but are going to try and source a recon unit). I never believed owning a discovery would be so sh@te! i'm buying anything but british next time. Never buying a LR again.:violent:

Then why the hell post yer ****e on here, close the door behind you cos there's a draft.

land rover have a reputation for being unreliable. ITS FOR A GOOD REASON!!!!!
Usually because people can't be arsed to maintain them properly, I am on my 4th Land Rover now and never had any reliability issues. The only reason I have had to change vehicle is due to changing vehicle requirements.

Never had a bad discovery yet....and had 6 of them....infact never had a bad land rover yet and that includes my 2008 130 tdci

My dad was on a Toyota forum last week enquiring about Aygo clutch problems. Some 'helpful' person suggested he feed the hamsters in his scale model of a vehicle, sell it on and buy a full size vehicle. He was less than impressed, I just wondered which one of you it was! :D:D:D

Awww. Bless. My second Discovery 2003 XS, she's a beauty. Had her a year, only had to replace air springs (standard maintenance), elec window mech and fuse 15. Mousefarts.

If you buy a Disco and you can't stomach the niggles to trade off what a Disco offers then you bought the wrong 4x4.

Nice knowing ya :D
