New to this forum so hi all😊

I want to get in to off roading and bin told a disco 200tdi is a gd start. I've just got a trailer that is 6ft and 1/2" wide that is fine for a standard disco but if it has off road tyres it don't fit. Can u got off road tyres that are the same width as standerd ones.

Any advice welcom

Right,

1) please don't post the same question in 3 different sections

2) read the tyre sidewall, there should be a series of numbers such as 235/75/16 the rise number e.g. 235 is the width of the tyre in mm, the second number e.g. 75 is the height of the sidewall of the tyre in mm and finally the third number e.g. 16 is the size of rim in inches that the tyre is designed to fit

Read the width of you normal tyres then the ones of your offroad tyres, if the offroad tyres are wider you can make the judgement depending on how much spaw you had on the trailer with the standard tyres.

oi nobber, the height is a percentage of the width, ie 235/75 = 235 mm wide and 75% of 235mm high. you sir are also a twunt:D
