I'm looking to purchase a series landrover however I need to be sure it will fit through my garage door. The garage door is 7ft wide by 6ft 8inches tall, will a standard series landrover on 750x16 with a hardtop fit???

Thks

Is it an up and over door? if it is and you haven't measured it with the door open I suggest you do.

If it is a open outward type door the answer is yes. Just. As long as it aint modified.

Which model Land Rover? My 88 on 7 50's would fit 6'6" multistories, but I would recommend measuring both garage and vehicle very carefully, it could be the difference between and new springs.
Don't forget to take into account whether getting into your garage is level.

Thks for the advise chaps, the dims I gave were for my up and over garage door with the door open so all looks okay.

I note the comment on whether the ground leading to the garage door is level as I can see how this could cause problems

yep, this is a fact, i can drive my series under my carport easily, but if i reverse in the rear corner catches on the roof beams. this is because there is a ramp from the roadway upto my driveway

I'm okay on width and height, best check how much of the garage is going to be taken up by the landy (i.e the length), can anyone let me know how long is a SWB series 2 or 3 is please.

Thks

I must have the length somewhere, but they are shorter tham most cars, so shouldn't be a problem.

Its actually quite long and I'm sure it would fit if there wasn't a load of other stuff kept in there. Just need to know if I need to get rid of the second freezer, beer store, 4 mountain bikes, a multitude of buggies and childrens toys!

It won't providing it's not too steep.;)

That depends on tight the fit is.
If there is only 1 mm clearance it will not need much of a slope to foul.
Basic geometry!

i rent a garage of the council not sure of the excact size but my series 3 on 235/85/r16 tyres doesnt fit with the hard top on
