Currently running BFG 265 s on modular s and am switching to some alloys. To fit them I need 30mm spacers but this will obviously move the tyres out too far for the existing standard wheel arches to cover. I get a lot of spray up the sides as it is so that 30mm will make it worse. Has anyone any experience of these flatdog arches from ebay Defender Wide Wheel Arches- Genuine Flexi | eBay

or recommend al alternative as they are not cheap?

Are you sure you need spacers ?

I have 265/75/16 tyres on alloys without any issues.
I believe they were the standard size for a few years before they changed to 235/85/16

I think I do Mick as its drums on the rear and they are boost alloys. I have to change the drive flanges first as its got heavy duty flanges on with those great big nut-style dust covers on so I will have a look when I do it and see. Id rather not have spacers to be honest but I do want the alloys on it somehow.

I have 265/75/16 in mine on weller 8 spoke and 30mm spaces and it's just flush but the lugs stick out, won't it depend on the offset of the alloy, ie, if you have a et -30 now and you alloys are et 0 then it will work out the same if you add a 30mm spacer on

short answer is...I don't know. Its going to be a question of try it and see I think. Im just lining up my options really just in case. Knowing my luck it will need extending.
