Just curious, but when you read through the mags or browse your local Landy shop, why is there next to nothing for Range Rovers (especially the P38) when circumstantial evidence suggests they are almost as popular as Defenders and more popular than Disco's or Freelanders?

What circumstantial evidence I hear you cry? The forum stats here. Currently:

Series Landrovers: 51 viewing
Defender 90/110/130: 169 viewing
Discovery: 129 viewing
Freelander: 138 viewing
Range Rover: 150 viewing

See, dead scientific... :)

they can only put so much space aside for problems and as its a p38 they would need volumes and a full shelf for that adidtion
;)

Not 'popular'........they just breakdown more often necessitating more people to visit our marvellous forum.... :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

All the people in the defender section are the Range Rover owners asking if a Deffie is more reliable....:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'd always assumed that us 'posh' people who drive Rangies aren't expected to repair or modify our own vehicles in the same way that Fender and Disco drivers are expected to. Therefore we get our butlers to take our cars to a garage and then use one of our other vehicles in our stable whilst we wait for parts to be delivered.
A load of bollocks for us on here I know but almost every day on my commute I see a couple of P38s being driven by ladies of a certain age and it reminds me that the vast majority of these cars are probably still being used by people who have never stressed them and who wouldn't know how to wield a spanner so therefore just accept garage bills, and a wait for spares, as part and parcel of Rangie ownership.

I reckon they fully stock shelves for P38s each day but they're so unreliable their stock is cleared out by lunchtime :)

I'm getting worried about my P38, it's been driving fine for the last 4 weeks without anything needing looked at :p
