I brought a disco to pull it's heart out and put it in me fender. So they are good for something

Wanted a more thirsty vehicle to burn my excess of home made bio in(still staying within my allowance),and secondly for towing my boat-both of which it does well-for all its faults,I would struggle to be without it now

Had a nice Fender bloody mrs went and got herself pregnent
4 people into 3 seats doesnt go very well.
Fender went and disco arrived! :D

cheaper than a fender and better than a p38.

although should have just bought a fender in the first place

I love it, simply !

I had an original Willys for a long time and took the habit of always having "something" to adjust/change/repair every week-end

I then had a Lada Niva period, more comfortable but the week-ends were not enough for the repairs workload

after helping several friends servicing their LRs, I like the 300 TDi engine and as soon as I could I took an opportunity on a Disco: nice price because the head gasket was gone and it was bearing english plates so I had to "convert" it for continental use

I find it a good mix of comfort and non-reliability, very good in awkward passages, and one of the best trucks I used in mountain stone ways

Daily driver so defender was out of the question as like to be comfortable. Love the look of discos. Now love the performance and capability. Plus 7 seats or 5 seats with a massive boot = perfect festival machine.

because of the ridiculous prices for defenders. "however good they are" the prices arnt

Wanted something to to tow a trailer and go camping so I borrowed a mates 200tdi which convinced me that a disco was what I needed, about 6 months later another friend was selling his black 300tdi Chelsea tractor for a very reasonable price so I took it and never looked back.
I even managed to acquire a dirt cheap 200tdi the other week which is going to be my winter commuter seen as though fuel is so cheap and might get a bit of off road use too.

I'm a disco addict and not afraid to admit it.

I got a disco because I was fed up with getting stuck in my gaylander. I have spent countless hours stuck in a ditch in that thing and eventually I realised that if I wanted to do the real thing, there was no point driving around in a vehicle that was purely designed to be a compromise.

Shame the disco isn't more reliable despite being less complex, but I guess that's just a Land Rover thing :(

I sold my 90 and got enough for a disco 300tdi and the deposit on a flat...needs must...miss the 90 but my hearing is slowly returning, the bruises on my right elbow have disappeared and the neighbours have stopped complaining about the oil-slick down the street...

I'll get another 90 next year though!

I just love rust
and all the welding you have to do to keep it on the road :D

but i must say i just love driving it every one gets out off your way :D
