Im scaring myself now as the talk is finally coming to an end and will soon have cash in my hand to purchase somethin big to tow a caravan.
Im not keen on a disco, dont know why... prob cos they are too much like a 'normal' car (wife has a zafira). Id love a defender but would have to go for a 110 (for child seats) but think it be physically too large for my needs (and expensive to buy) which leaves me with a range rover. i prefere the looks of a classic than any of the others. my stepdad had a newish one which i liked but only actually went in a couple of times so didnt get used to it, nor drive it.

the only thing that puts me off is the mpg..... yes i know its a big car but then anything thats needed to pull a 'van is without killing it. id love a 3.9 v8 with lpg - 30mpg for cheap fuel for a large vehicle sounds good to me but i also do a lot of short trips to work. maybe i should use a bike now its getting warmer!

are there any owners who can shine a light on rrc ownership that money cant buy, more incentive as to why i should commit myself to such a commitment?!

thanks!

You're comparing a Disco to a Zafira?

Anyway, three words "Range Rover Classic". Say them to yourself. Savour them, enjoy them, can you imagine being the custodian of such a piece of British history?

Are you up to the job?

i have always had a classic, and the fact is they are a lovely car still to this day, i currently run an LSE which i love to bits.
just look on this forum and compare the hassle P38 owners have to a classic owner. nearly every thread is a P38 problem. i know as i have one on my drive, thats been nothing less than a pain in the ass.
a good classic with LPG is the right way to go. you can tell a good one from an old shed pretty easily.

I've had my RRC now for nearly 2 years. Every time i go out a run in her it feels great. Always gona have little niggling problems with them, but as i use mine for offroading too, it's amazing how much comfort and fun you can have.
I wouldn't be totally put off by a Disco, they are very capable machines, lots of the guys in our Team have them for offroading and they perform great.

OH Yeh, that 3.9 V8 sound , GREAT!!! ;)
