Scotland - quaint mountainous area in Britain, subsidized by English taxpayers
Once that nice Mr Salmond (puke ...)makes Scotland independent of England, that's when you English people need to start worrying about subsidising us.
I don't think England has any idea how expensive Independence can be.
You think your expenses go down when your teenager leaves for his / her own place, but you're going to get a shock - you end up paying more because you are now paying for two places, instead of one.
Just think about it ... there aren't enough people up here paying taxes to pay the Benefits for the Poles and Romanians pouring in. So it's obvious the English will have to pay. They have been paying for Scotland since 1707, so another century or two won't matter all that much.
