There is no Blue/purple but there is a Purple/blue to pin 7. Goes from pin 4 height switch to pin 7 ECU and is spliced off to pin 9 BECM.

it was hangin out the block when i looked down there. but it doesnt have a wire coming out the other side if that makes sense. I will take a pic tomorrow and show! Wondered if it was causing my problems

Well it should have routed as described, same all models.

This is the wire I'm talking about. Anyone know what it's for? Also why there isn't one on other side of the block

One must assume it's a spare for a feature you don't have installed. If everything works I'd forget it.

That is NOT a Blue/purple wire it is a Purple/blue wire as i described. Major colour first tracer second. According to RAVE wiring diagrams it goes from pin 4 on height selector switch, via pin 7 in plug and socket, to pin 7 on EAS ECU, with a splice at S120 to pin 9 BECM. Same all models with NO variance. Plug and socket are CO467 and CO469 strange as it may seem pin 7 on their face views is exactly as shown on your photo. If you have a problem that is why.

While I was recently removing these connectors & soldering the wires, I found the same Purple/Blue wire only on one side of the connector pair as well.

BUT, looking at my copy of Rave, it looks like it was added after VIN 370859, and is use for the Ignition Key Lock Solenoid. . . .so nothing to do with EAS. White connector numbers also change between 1998 & 1999 circuit.

Makes no sense to me either. I am getting PU Purple/blue confused with UK Blue/pink. The circuit i described would be a Blue/pink wire. The other one is NAS only so will have no continuation so forget about it. :D:D

Yep you are correct got me colour codes mixed. The circuit i described is code UK Blue/pink and runs through pin 4 of C104/204 and pin 4 of CO467/469. Purple/blue is NAS only i believe and runs through pin 7 of C104/204 but has no circuit through CO467/469. :);)
