2.5 DSE or 4.6 HSE with LPG ?

they sound just a little less of a beast,as for performance i think it down by 5-10% so not to bad..

all p38`s give problems due to the complexity all engines will give trouble but great cars none the less. just have a deep pocket which you have and take note you will have someone who has the diagnositic kit for all the electronic`s and fault codes that come up

i have a 4.6 on lpg and tbh cant tell the difference if on petrol or lpg , and the sound of it is brilliant , ive never owned a p38 oiler so i really cant comment , all i will say however is there is no substitute for cc`s .
which ever you decide on just make sure its a good one or it`ll put you off the marque for life .................................that is of course unless your a mad bugger like the rest of us on here :D :D :D .

Hi
I have a 96 4.6hse on lpg and my dad has an 02 2.5dse chipped, theres no contest its the 4.6 every time, smoother quieter quicker and there is no power loss if the lpg system is the sequential gas injection system.
I wouldn`t swap my car with my dads ever.

Thank's everyone.

Looks like a 4.6 and convert it to LPG then.

Are these any more unreliable than my old 3.5 EFI ?

I love it , but she does rather pick her moments to let me down.

Thank,s all Fred

tough question,on economy there is only one winner, depends on what your mileage will be,my mate has a diesel and loves it,and it goes very well indeed(better than my v8 efi classic),both are very refined, that said though,my mates diesel needed a new engine after only 3 months(knocking then went bang)if his insurance hadnt paid for repairs the car was finished, remember with range rovers its a buyers market at the moment, good luck.

Fred,

My opinion EVERY time would be the 4.6 with LPG. It's a far better ride, performance, sound etc etc

But the best way to find out is go and drive both. After 5 minutes of driving the DSE diesel version you'll be happy as Larry......

...until of course, you drive the 4.6 Petrol/LPG version and you'll be smitten instantly.

Hi,

I have a 4.6 lpg when it works its great (having a few running problems at the moment) and sounds wicked
