Right but your suggesting trade migs to the DIY people, As you wish with 10 years.
Cars, gates, buildings I estimate approx 4160 hours of use.
Several liners and torch spares-either way still running.

Anti spatter spray and not run flat out.

my opinion isn't bollocks , i use murex/esab/sip/olerkin every day and the murex or esab is the best and by the way some of the murex i use is 15 years old no Digital display, any welder will do ten years if hardly used  , i'd like to see the how strong a weld from a £150 welder is and the quality of it there is alot of bird **** machines out there
it's the person using the torch that makes a strong weld or just bird ****s.
i've got a sip130, lots of use and feed issues now, and a sealey 180.
done both types of weld with both machines:D:D:D
and both cost me fook all:D

Unless it is a cheap unknown brand, then any half reasonable mig will weld fine.
As you spend more the output is smoother, that said a £1000 mig is excessive for DIY or Light Trade use
