The kit I managed to pick up, (albeit not as good a price as £40), came with two switch types. A grey one for use around the instrument cluster, and a black one, that fits into a supplied blanking plate, that goes into the cubby hole to the right of the steering wheel. So I have a choice, sort of. I think the cluster switch is intended for earlier models, as it is grey in colour, where as the switches on the later pre-facelifts are jet black.
Unfortunately, with a house move, I haven’t had any time to fit them or the FBH I picked up also. Hoping to make it a summer job this year when the front bumper is off, and get things ready for next autumn, This summer also needs to be one for getting the underneath of the vehicle in tip top condition again. The last MOT I had listed the fuel tank cradle as being badly corroded, and slightly loose, with an advisory, so it probably won’t make another winter. Anyway, sorry for the thread diversion...
Back onto what Nodge says, the rarer parts do seem to appreciate in cost. Just try getting hold of the rear parcel shelf brackets for a 3-door, and you’ll see.
