After some research online I was told npk brp6es were the best choice for lpg. Purchased a set last week but they are too big. Perhaps due to having the bmw m62 engine rather than the jag one.

Anyone know the bmw sized equivalent or if not which plugs are best suited for my needs?

Thanks all.

I use the standard NGK BKR 6EK as specified by BMW / LR.....nowt special just cos I run LPG....

As long as your LPG system and Fuel System are up to snuff and correctly adjusted and set up, no reason any other plug is required.

I know some say LPG burns hotter, which is true and as such a hotter plug is required, but I have not needed to use anything other than standard and change them regularly according to schedule.

NGK do a set of LPG specific plugs which will last longer than standard plugs....but are more expensive, so more frequent change of the standard plugs against less frequent but more expense on the LPG grade plug is 6 and 2x 3's in my opinion...

Thanks Saint. I've just checked the current ones and they're similar to the ones you recommended but are stamped BKR6EQUP. Any idea of the difference just out of interest?

Thanks again :)

Just standard plugs, contrary to what those may say who want to change you twelve quid apiece for their super specials.

LPG needs a hotter spark to ignite it it so maybee close the gap down a bit and also the plugs should last longer
just standard plug are ok as recommended by the engine manufacturer
