Nope not soft or sensitive....although those that resort to bad language are usually the type that can't think of anything more constructive to retort. OMG I was only asking about a flecking snorkel........

Haven't said a bad word yet, you getting nervous:D:D

Sax - I was not accusing yu of spamming. Just the software spamming itself.
I just can't see why peeps don't turn the option off.

Sent from my telephonic instrument whilst lying stark naked in my place of repose.

Mad hat...you have enlightened me....I have turned it off! Took me a while find the settings however...however now have upsetting image in my head of you lying naked lol

My my, there are some toys being thrown aren't there

Personally speaking, I'll only use Safari snorkels, because I've seen the quality (lack of) of some of the competition, and it isn't an area I'd like to cut corners.

On the safiri for the 200, it was me that posted since fitting i have lost power, so to rectify i have just disconnected at the air filter 90 degree plastic union.
As soon as you pull away i can feel the difference, so there is an issue somewhere.
I have had a reply from the safari uk agentt and they want me to take pics of all the intake pipework, which means removing the plastic inner wing for access.
What with everything else i have got to fix or repair on house and cars its sort of being ignored for now.
Im pretty sure the problem isnt the snorkel as such, just the stupid restrictive piece of moulded of pipe that runs from the inner wing to the air filter housing its only 2 inch id and thats the same as my 1959 2 litre diesel intake pipework, which had 52bhp when new!
Its more the snorkel shows up the problem, im not sure but would bet its the same set up on the older turbo diesel engine.

Thanks for the heads up... When it arrives and I fit it, like you, after I have to re-decorate the house (her indoors makes sure I have her priorities right!) I will see if I loose power...if so I will let you know..thanks again.

Yous tratter boys is having an argument. :)

What snorkel? Depends if yer want it fer show, or ta use. Old hoover pipe will do fer the first option. :)

You mean people actually fit them just for the look?
Im proud to say mines even got dirt on the inside!

Lynall...as promised I would feedback....I have fitted the safari snorkel from Paddocks today and have suffered no lost or lack of power...fingers crossed all OK for now....thanks again for the heads up and advise.
Sax

Sax thanks for that.
Ive just ordered some 63mm flexible pipe from e bay today.
This will fit straight onto the air filter stub and will also bend out of shape and fit onto the squashed bit on the inside of the wing.
But to fit it im going have to remove the heater box joy of joys.
Will take some pics when done and see if it helps.
I have noticed just recently some black smoke from my exhaust so maybe its needs some injectors.
