Hi All,
Second post now great forum.
I now find myself with three vehicles and as a relatively young driver old insurance is pretty steep and I can't bring myself to continue to insure them all at £800 odd a piece. So one has to go. I have a 2017 4x4 Dacia duster which is my reliable daily drive for large numbers of work miles which will have to stay. The others consist of the following:
- Bog standard 2002 discovery td5 140k immaculate condition
- quite modified 1987 defender 300tdi conversion with discovery lt77, fairy PTO Driven winch, 1.5inch lift on HD springs, bull bar roof rack 34inch special track tyres and so on. Good condition but could have money spent on it.
I do some green Laning but not masses really the land rovers are for my personal use towing and general enjoyment
Its a hard decision as the disco is a LOT more comfortable and quicker than the defender which frankly gets unbarable above 40mph and is probably as capable as it with tyres and perhaps a small lift. and although I of course look after it also so cheap it's almost disposable so if i kept it I'd pocket a lot bigger chunk of change selling the defender. But the defender is infinitely cooler, better when I do go of road it's more entertaining if less practical.
What would all you do it's getting to me!
Thanks
