The choice is endless I’m afraid. Depends how much work you are wanting to do vs cost vs effort vs what your desired outcome is.

Hammerite Chassis paint is well priced at £10 for a large aerosol at Halfords and goes on easy and covers well. There are however many makes and types of similar paint or direct to rust paints.

You could just apply black Waxoyl or similar or paint first then apply. And again lots of different unseals and types of products.

I am doing the same thing on my series as I replace the springs and am wire brushing (cup brush on an angle grinder) back to clean metal, and using red oxide primer followed by black machinery enamel. But I need to do the 110 and am look at corroless paint on that which is used on oil rigs etc so looks to be a serious hard wearing and corrosion preventing product.

Im just about to start mine what is raptor like heard its not favoured but reviews seem good

There are many very good chassis products out there. Stay clear of Hammerite, general Chassis Black and POr-15...these products are "okay..." but are out of date/surpassed by better paint products. I can really recommend Buzzweld product.

Re' Raptor, it is a remarkably tough paint for bed liners and chassis. Have used both original black on underbody components and tintable body coloured version on complete underbody resprays. It sprays very easily, dries well, gives an excellent finish and is very tough.

!!Safety Note: Raptor is a 2k paint system and contains isocyanate - be 100% certain to use max' PPE covering all body/eyes/face/skin and you must use a 2k mask - isocyanate is highly carcinogenic !!
