hi all as it says above, I am after a fault code reader for my newly acquired l322 range rover.
After doing a bit of searching around both on here and the net ive came across the three different makes listed below, has anyone hand any first hand or other wise experience with any of them?
Also is there somthing else I should be looking at?
my main use for it is to try an get to the bottom of an EAS fault

Hawkeye Land Rover Diagnostic Code Reader & Reset Tool on eBay (end time 07-Aug-10 16:49:10 BST)
although you do need another adopter (not supplied) for air suspension on a l332 on the hawkeye

Faultmate MSV-2 Diagnostic System for Range Rover L322 on eBay (end time 24-Jul-10 13:26:15 BST)

also are there any other other differences in the faultmate msv (above) and the fcr (below) other than the msv can be used on multiple vehicle and models? from what I can make out if you just want to use it in one vin number the cheaper option will do the same thing as the dearer msv?
Faultmate FCR Faultcode Reader for Range Rover 02-04 on eBay (end time 12-Aug-10 14:57:34 BST)

sorry for all the questions in one post, thanks in advance, mick.

The Faultmate FCR can only be used to read and clear faults where as the faultmate MSV can be connected to a computer to you can adjust config settings on the car and capture diagnostic info, check out https://www.blackbox-solutions.com/ this is the faultmate company and keep any eye out for BBS Guy on here he is the owner of blackbox solutions and could proberley offer more advice.

The Msv is the only way to go if you are serious about looking after you RR yourself. I would be lost without mine. Awesome kit.

hi, thanks for the quick replys.
I had already read quite a bit on the black box site, I dont think I will need to adjust config settings, but not so sure about the diagnostic info part.
I have a air suspension fault light come on every now and again and am looking for somthing to point me in the direction of the fault lies, what will a msv tell me that a fcr wont?
I dont have allot of experience when it comes to diagnostics systems, other than a bit a mercedes star system (basically testbook for mercs) I dont really want to spend 1000+ plus on a system that I wont really get the use from if a cheaper system will do what i need it too do.....but will it?
