Hi all
Just wondering which engine oil is best, or worth buying?
Any recommendations for oil in a p38 2.5d 1997?
Just don't want to put bad oil in when I change it this weekend

If it's got a few miles 10w 40 semi synthetic for diesels.

Yip it has a few miles up on it 200k+
Any oil brands to recomend?
Or ones to avoid?

Asda oil is fine, no need to go for expensive stuff, just change oil and filter more often, your diesel engine will love you for it. You need at least semi synthetic to keep turbo happy.
