i have a few problems with poor running on petrol at the moment and have tried all the obvious stuff, leads, plugs, MAF.....ect... i also have some annoying faults on the dash display which I'd like cleared but am reluctant to go to a garage to be ripped off.....

so been looking at fault code readers and alike but now just confused to which one....?

the faultmate FCR looks good but you cant change anything, just read and clear faults....but does it tell you anything else...?...and it's locked to one car...can this ever be overridden if i change to another P38?
the MSV-2 i dont think is locked...? and it can change other parameters...?

or a Nanocom.....!!??? i dunno....!

So.... I'd like a fault code reader/ clearer.......but don't know whats best? I'd also like some more functionality..... but cost always makes the decision...!

And...i am quite hands on...and will try to do most jobs myself unless special equipment is needed....how easy are these to use....?

thanks

hahaha....i am actually larfin....!!!

so it is a good system then...? why not the faultmate...?

it is a bit of money...but i guess in the long term i'm not paying someone else £50+ to just clear faults for me every time i get one.......and i will have more faults to clear......it is a p38....! and i'd be happy to help anyone out close by me....(West Norfolk)

where did everyone get theirs...? from the blackbox site...?

Yes, Uk selling price seems to be around £400 + delivery, bbs its £357 they charged me £35 postage on one unit.
