I'm looking to buy one of these headlining kits for a P38
https://www.martrim.co.uk/car-trimming-supplies/range-rover-headlining-kits.php?

My car has lightsome cream interior but has a headliner that looks to be made out of some old curtains.
I'm assuming that to stick with standard colours I would just go with grey?

I struggle to know what looks good until it's done.

I read in another post that the standard colour is "Mist". No idea what colour Mist is.

Can't help with the colour but having used Martrim for a kit for my Classic headlining (normal grey) I can recommend them.
There's a couple of how-to's on LZ which would be worth you looking for.

Be sure all traces of the old foam are removed from your backers, it's the foam of the material failing that causes the sagging.
Thoroughly clean hands when putting the new material on - plastic/nitrile gloves are ideal.
Have assistance. They hold the material up whilst you smooth it down onto the glue.
The glue is instant grab & there is NO opportunity to lift or slide if it's not quite right.
Avoid stretching the material as you're attaching it.

Would it not have a cream headlining?

Might be worth giving them a call. Pretty sure they knew mine straight off when I rang but it was a long while ago now.

Mine has the light stone interior and the headlining is what my be called beige, certainly not grey.

My daily driver is grey & project is beige. No idea exactly what colour description LR used !!

I'm going with Silver Grey from Martrim for mine. They've sent me some samples, and whilst the Cloud Grey they suggested is very neutral grey, the Silver Grey has a bit more warmth to it, and it matches the Lightstone interior very nicely.

The other one is Oatmeal. Based on the samples I've been sent, I'd say Lightstone interiors use Silver Grey or Oatmeal as standard. I've gone Silver Grey because it's a little bit lighter than Oatmeal, but there's not much in it when compared to the scrap of original lining I have left! The difference betwen the two is less to the eye than it is in the photo.

If you have a grey interior, then Cloud Grey is the one. That matches much closer to @Grrrrrr 's roof, and his is a grey inferior.

I've also got some Lightstone vinyl to spruce up the door cards a bit. We'll see how that goes....
Lastly, Martrim will send you samples for free, so if you're unsure, ask them to send you some out!

Do they send a £10 note aswell:):D

Dopey's is in the Technical Section.

My Jag one fell down this weekend blocking my rear view. Emergency drawing pins to the rescue and another job added to the list.

Had a look at Matrim. The Jag kit is £20 cheaper now than the Rangie one I got years ago. Pretty sure it was £65 or £70 at the time. That was a surprise.
