Hi,

Happy Christmas and all the best for the new year to you all.

I have a 300tdi that I use at weekends and the battery is knackered not holding charge for more than a couple of days. I have had it checked out and confirmed dead !!

Anyway can anyone reecommend a replacement ? i.e what amps etc. Would prefer a more heavy duty one I think but don't want to be sold something too over the top

you need a 72amp battery and it would be worth investing in a solar charger if you only use your disco at weekends, they cost about 40 quid

I had problems with mine being sluggish to start in the cold mornings, I went to an auto shop and they looked up which battery. You shud have a choice of 2, go for the bigger amperage. It sorted my probs out.

Just fitted a Bosch Asia Silver 70 70ah 570A to mine - no mods to carrier bracket required with this new range. Other option is Banner Starting Bull 57072, also no mods. Won't set you back a packet neither!
