That hydraulic crimper looks useful. I might have to order one of those along with the cables.

What's the best place to order connectors and wire? If I'm going this far I might as well make sure I'm getting good solid connectors.

indeed, found it very good and made very good crimps

will find the web site where i bought all my crimps

here’s one company i used
https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/

i bought 16mm cable, if u buy the crimps that are for 25mm cable they go over the end of the sleeving better, then i think the eyelet was 6mm but just check what they are in ur battery post clamps

this was my split charge install , got to just get some battery terminal covers installed and some heat shrink

just used the left over conduit onto the abs pipes as they were close to the battery and didn’t want to throw the conduit away

waiting for the warmer weather

it's glorious isn't it!?

It smells ****ing heavenly too.

I had to change the bulbs on a vw polo. everything was packed in there tight.

useto adore my series 2a and series 3 , only time it broke down when i ran out of petrol,

OEM. 15 years and still on the original battery. Will get another OEM when this one finally packs up.

My series 2a only has two issues that really need attention.

That and i need a maltese cross grille.

There's something about them, they just smell amazing, the seats are comfy and the noise is brilliant.

indeed there’s nothing else like them, for my sins i did buy a 88 , diesel , oh my god that thing was noisy but off road that thing was great fun , also u haven’t got any electronics helping just u and the landy and that’s what i’ve always liked

but a messed up back put an end and also now have to drive an auto , but always got a soft spot because that’s where it all started 30x years ago

quick story if i may plse , back in 1986 and was 20

had the 88 diesel and at the time my late wife wanted to drive it, found a greenlane up by biggin hill

the track had that kind of bright red mud that washed across the track and left fairly deep puddles full of this red water

i got out as we had our old lab jasper , as my wife started driving through the water

as she did the water went all the way over the roof and at the same time heard a strange loud noise

as the water cleared there was a dog walker stood there and his springer , both covered head to foot in this thick bright red mud , know we shouldn’t have laughed but managed to get our dog in the landy quick and screamed go go,go ,

happy memories , , well not for the bloke but can still hear him now screaming blue words and was funny at the time but now felt sooooooooo bad
