maybe we shoul all pm the seller till they tell us who said there was a connection then we can pester them till they tell us.

Or just forget about it cos its some sort of wind up?

I guess you PM ed them and got this...?

"Google mudclub uk (land rover owners group), go to their site and search their forums for devil duck! It's something about protecting your landrover from accidents! We knew nothing about it until they ordered loads from us and we found out why.

- rockedout-sales"

Still a bit tenuous - i preferred the "down off a duck" connection, unfortunately my brain works (or doesn't work) in different ways to eveyone elses and they didn't get it so i guess we have to stick to rockedoutsales' explanation!

my **** joke connects the two. Explaining it disconnects them again so back to square 1!

i seen yer crap joke but i dint see no connection between them. ah mean you could have used 'a piece of st brieuc cheese ' instead of land rover . it dint mean there is a connection between smelly cheese and ducks

Thass ow crap it wos, sorry.
I'd rather have a piece of St Brieuc stinky in me landy than a duck, yum! Also would go some way to hiding the post-sprout-arse smell it seems to have developed recently! (landy, not the cheese)

so they reckon having one of these ducks in your mototr will protect it off road?Maybe they should just look where they are driving.

Also i felt a little bit dirty on another forum......tis not quite rite.

]I fink Hybrid might know..............

"Santa bought me a nice pink Series III. He just dint fookin deliver it... so ave gotta go fookin SCOTTISHLAND ter pick it up... Santas a ****."[/quote]

No kidding?
Where's Santa going to get one of those then?
His Blooming Grotto?
Don't come tomorrow ... unless Rudolph is leading.

We only just found this thread, but thought I should step up and explain:

From our range of rubber ducks, and especially our evil devil ducks, we seem to sell a high percentage to Landy owners. We didn't know why so had to ask some of our customers, which directed us to mudclub. We still really don't know where it originated but it's some quirky idea of protection specific to Landys.

What is quite funny is that if you do a yahoo image search for land rover duck, one of the first pictures returned is a landyzone member (http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f20/hi-all-34082.html ), so someone in your group knows about it at least!

The pink one in question is just one of the evil devil duckies range, the original red and hotrod ones being the most popular, there are many more! You really wanted to know all this didn't you?

Anyway, that's where we were coming from and why someone had put land rover in the ebay listing title, as believe it or not people do actually search for these things! Just incase we upset anyone and so no landyzone member has to feel disloyal visiting another site again - we'll give landyzone members the same 10% discount on our products as mudclub. You may not be into the duck thing but there's plenty of other cool (non - landy or duck related) stuff in there. Just enter LANDYZONE at the checkout - http://www.rockedout.com

Well, you did ask! :)

Well, if them buttpluggers ave' got a thing about ducks, us LZ's should have sumat on our dashboards ('cept walnuts!) or stuck on our motors.
