Not got me fender yet, but I am looking on where to start when I do, My budget will get me something mechanically sound, but a bit scabby on the looks (or vice versa, so I'll go with the former.)
I'm getting a few toys to go on it, steps/runners for a start (if it doesnt have them already) Light bar, a BIT of functional chequer plate (ie wing tops) not sure what other (functional) toys to get yet.
now, do I get the toys fitted first, then tidy her up, or tidy up, then fit toys, the kid in me says toys first, but I know the wife wants it to look pretty too.

Toy suggestions welcome, Looking at doing a bit of greenlaning first, and see where we go from there (If I get my way it'll be winch, snorkel etc, budget allowing!!)

Don't buy toys till it's working properly .. full service, ALL fluids, including brake, power steering, diffs, gearboxes etc

Didn't cross my mind to service first, not sure why cos I usually do. Probably got most of the fluids anyway except brake (cos it doesn't keep) service is probably a good afternoons work. Probably pull the wheels off n check the pads/shoes too

get one that looks the biz allready, then as mentiond service it and check it over it will need something repairing its a landy.
if it looks the biz it will keep you happy for a few months , then buy your toys

I bought a relatively decent 1.8GS a few months back with 40k on the clock so thought she shouldn't be too costly for a while right?

As the guys said, don't do a damn thing until you're sure everything is sound. These things can make money vanish faster than a UK banker...

I'm driving a kia at the.moment, so no change there, an injector for this thing is £350. Going looking at a couple this weekend weather permitting ,(never buy a car in the rain)
Read up well on fenders so hopefully won't end up with a lemon. Servicing and repairs shouldn't be to bad got a decent tool kit, my dad used to have series landys.
