Hi all,

where does everyone mount speakers in the back of their 90`s ??

i have a set of 6x9 speakers i want to put in the back but facing the front of the car...

struggling to find a suitable place and wondered how others have done it.

Thanks,

Dave

I removed the seats in the front of my SW and replaced the cubby box with a couple of house spearker,i also hung some surround sound speakers off the dog cage so i dont need speakers in the back,
i would build boxes and hang em up top if i fitted em in the back.personally i like my load space solid for lobbing the stuff in with no damage...

Still dunno exactly what motor ya got, mate. This works well for me, would have thought it should be ok for most.

I know there was a company called "defen door" or something like that that used to have ads in the back pages of the monthly mags (& I'm sure the guy behind it posted on here too at one point) - They did a molded unit that filled the space behind the light units on defenders for fitting forward facing speakers...

I'm thinking of going with something like that anyway & either a set of mud stuff side panels with speaker mounts or something similar made from ply with possibly an angled mdf spacer to rotate the speakers so they face further forward (when I get round to it anyway)

I have some speakers in the front above the seatbelt bracket just wanted some in the back. Hanging up top would best suit me so Ivan still "lobb" stuff in the back.

Quite like this idea... Is that just fixed by that metal bracket on the right? I have a preformed speaker housing so might be able to get this to work

I've got the Defendoor panels which helped with a) locating the speaker and b) blending in with the interior. I bought mine second hand, but notice that Defendoor don't have them on their site anymore.

Yup was easy enough took the best part of a day. Though i did learn that one side of my landy is 1cm lower than the other!
