Hello,
Having owned discoveries in the past, I made the jump and just bought my first series: a bronze green S2a.

I am trying to look for side panels with windows with straight corners - like those on the SW - but the only ones I seem to find for sale online are with round corners. Any idea where I could source straight corner side panels as per the picture attached?
Thank you for your help

You're probably better off finding the windows first and full side panels then cutting the hole to match. That's what I did on my old defender.

Actually, this isn’t what I meant. Sorry for being unclear. If you look at the picture I attached to my previous post, you will the STation Wagon side panel windows are rounded in the corners, but perfectly square. Not sure whether there’s a way to get these made anywhere
thanks
My bad....
If you do source an original set make sure the window catches are included as they can be slightly pricey to replace

When I bought a truckcab it was cheaper to source another truckcab just for the catches than to buy the catches alone:rolleyes:

Ebay has some:

The ones from a 109 (LWB) station wagon are the same size IIRC
Seems to be exactly what I am looking for (and in the right colour too :)
After a bit of research online, looks like the 109/110SW would fit the 88” - but there seems to be outstanding questions on whether the lip around the rear door fits the 88” door and the seals too. Any view on whether those 2 things would prevent me from fitting them to my 88 ?
Thank you
Paul

All rear doors from 1958 to 2016 are the same size. Older doors have non anti burst locks and newer doors have glass held in by rubber strips, not angled Ali and 35 screews! So I don't know why a 109 door wouldnt fit your 88.

I don’t think it’s the door he’s talking about, I think it’s the lip the seal sits on. They are different from series to defenders. The rear panels I have are from an 88”, and are in a different place to my defender ones. The series ones can be easily modified to be the same as defenders.

Yes you're right, I didn't read the post correctly. That said the panels the OP wants are going to be from a series either 88 or 109 and then being fitted to a series so it shouldn't matter.
