I currently have two spots mounted on my Bull bars in front of the Rad grill. I am wandering if it would be better to mount them on the roof rack. My thinking is where they are currently mounted do they restrict the air flow to the rad.

The spots are used with my main beam headlights. What are the disadvantages of having them mounted on the roof rack ? Would the beam be as good as where they currently are?

Leave em. The restriction is negligible in the UK, youd only notice a differnce somewhere like Morroco.

Ive got two spots that take up pretty much the whole rad and never had an issue.

That's just it. I'm off to Morocco again in the spring. The spots were there on the last trip and I had a Kenlowe electric fan. The temp did edge towards the red on a couple of occasions but never into the red. I have recently fitted a new Rad and fitted the Viscous back on. I have to do some work on it and thought now might be a good time to move them if I was going to. Not sure how I would get on with having the spots up there when using main beam.

Ok so do you need the spots while there? If not just disconect em for the trip!

Or rewire them to an aux switch.
