That is exactly what I told them, hence the 10.9mm etc conversation:rolleyes::rolleyes:, they did not have a clue what I was talking about;););)

You ask for some one else to help you?????????? I just love in them situations of asking to see/or talk to there boss.:D
 
Have you ever used their bolts or screws. Never knew you could snap a new M10 bolt so easy.

There are different grade/strengths of bolts, nuts and screws. If you use the lower rated they will snap easily. The higher the grade/strength the harder to snap. It is all in what you buy.
 
On the cheap ones you get from Screwfix and major DIY chains the tolerances aren't that great. The nuts often feel very loose, as if the threads are about to strip. And sometimes, of course, they do. They're OK for light work, such as fixing two body panels together, but in stress critical situations I usually order the actual Land Rover item by part number.

I would use 8.8 as standard unless its on something high stress the ill use 10.9 or even 12.9.
