Hello I've only just found the place where you write. I'm learning. So is the entry above here by Mainwaring the last in the series. So it's a sort of rolling commentary. Serietres.

Hi guys

I live in Trinidad in the West Indies

recently parted with my 1985 soft top land rover short wheel base [still regretting it]

now have a 1995 tdi300 discovery, have been going through every thing bit by bit and making good progress. brakes, injector pump, gaskets, fluids, lights, you name it, but it has been fun.

planning to remove the sump, install new gasket with sealant next oil change.
and to change the instrument bezel [in beige] as soon as I can find one.

I like: offshore fishing, photography, classical guitar, wood working, mountain biking, hiking. the dico plays a part in all those activities except the guitar bit,

it just does not seem to have the delicate touch necessary for learning to play the guitar

Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. Beautifull and sunny at the moment, however is subject to change. Land Rover Defender 110, on road, work in progress.

Hi guys
Ive just joined the forum.
I hope to learn from fellow landy owners.
I own a 1997 Defender 110 which is currently down because of fuel system problem.
A local mechanic managed to get it start & iddle but once one presses the accellerator the engine goes off. There is also smoke even though it isnt rich like before the carburrators were cleaned and set. What could be the problem?

hi everybody i live in sutton coldfield and wanted to know if any one knows of some off roading spots or green laning close to me has its so hard to get information or if i could tag along with any body :)

Hello all interested,

I`ve owned a TD5 disco new new, 2001, and its been a fairly good vehicle to date.
Its covered 47k miles from new and is in good order throughout apart from..
The back descends when the air from the suspension bleeds away.
Rather than leap in and replace airbags etc..can you advise..for a moderately handy home mechanic..the best way to determine the source of the leak and a solution please?
Thanks in anticipation for all information clearly outlined & offered.

hello, this is the where do you live section.

You seem a trifle lost old boy, try the Discovery section :)

this thread is brilliant

thread title - "introduce yourself! -> where do you live?"

typical post - "I have just bought a disco and it has 4 wheels and I want to know if i can get rid of the doggy smell and does anyone know where i can buy some cheap seats"

For the life of me i cant figure out how that tells us where you live?

when you ask a q - it helps if peeps know where you are situated - they can then give better advice - maybe even offer to help.

so......

go into UserCP
in the Control Panel - edit your profile and put something in the "where do you live" box.
it doesnt have to be specific - Harrogate or London is close enough.

help others to help you.
Thanks, I've got my location logged now in my About Me section, which for ease is Hitchin in Herts.
