Hullooo Just joined the site because endless searches for a defender led me here. Live in Cornwall and hoping to live further into Cornwall soon. Which is why I am gonna get me a defender. The trouble is - which one to get - a 90 (which i secretly love) or a 110 (which I secretly dont love as much). I was all set to go get one somewhere from someone and then I read on here that with the 90 rust is the biggest problem.
I know all about rust - very little about cars just how to drive them and when I open up the bonnet of the car it may as well be made of fuzzy felts and spun sea water for all I know about what to look for if its a wrongun. So that means I have to get it from a dealer so I have some come back. (I can see you, yes you at the back rolling your eyes). Anyhoooo - I really dont want to have years of pain and misery and forking out heaps. IS there anywhere dealerwise to avoid in cornwall - and is there anywhere anyone would recomend. I am gonna shut up now. Many thanks guys. Stormm

New to the forum; I live in Johannesberg. I have two Landies a 1996 Defender 90 TDI and a 2000 Freelander 1 2.0 litre diesel. Freelander is parked at the moment; oil pump trouble!
 
hi, this is the first time ive been on this site,i have a disco 300tdi 98, im having problems with 1st & 2nd gear any suggestions please?
 
Hello one and all just joined the site got back into land rover ownership after having a classic rr 3.9 vogue se that i lost (care less i know)#have just invested in a 200 tdi disco any way that is enough digression i am in Maidstone Kent great site you have here btw

I believe I have everyone beat.... I live in the Lush Green Hills of Middle Tennessee... which are infested with great legal off road trails
 
im in manchester and only joined a few days ago .had some bad things go wrong with my v8 p38 and had a chat with some guys on here and thay were brill so thought i would post this ----must send a big thanks to j the range and gemsdad for all there help in putting me in contact with a guy namly irishrover who hopfully will sort the mess im in with this p38 becm unit .come on both guys well deserve a round of applause thanks guys
