They are made by Phillips i think. Have a look on ebay. I'd sell you mine, but i'm in Ireland! ha

if i remember right, in that year all the models had tape decks, that was the norm back then.

well my w reg had a tape deck.

whats the reason for needing to have an oem stereo ?

Just thought it would be nice to have original, but modern. Maybe I'll just get a nice one instead lol

I got one of these for my recently purchased 1999 Freelander, might be worth asking the seller if he has anymore. I got it to enable me to use the cd changer in the car, even had cd's in the magazine.

I've got a tape deck and the alpine changer if your interested?

Came out of my 2003 model, you'd need the cable that goes between as I've left it in place.

Dude sure all the original tape decks hook up to the muti-CD unit which would live under your drivers seat. I've seen one on EBAY the last few days, get yourself on and have a look, ask the seller for confirm or look in hand book if you've got one.

Cool thanks for that, proved to much hassle in the end. I pulled the old unit out and got a reasonably priced pioneer one from argos! bargain
