40 a gallon. Don't believe it for a second. The most to a tank I ever got on long runs in a standard 300 disco that I emptied as much as I could of excess weight was a wisker under 600.

Ha ha, like I've got nothing better to do than post made up rubbish on the Internet! Lol 😄

Whether you believe it of not isn't really relevant, that's what I'm getting.

Not if you want to get anywhere in a hurry! Lol. Like I said, I do drive veeeery slooooowly to get those figures. 😃

would I be incorrect in thinking that the LR are still making 300tdi engines for the export market?
I know it's not the most powerful, smooth or sophisticated engine but as we all agree it is very reliable on the whole and quite easy to maintain!

Long live the Disco 1

I've heard that the Army still buy all their defenders with the 300tdi in them as it's the most reliable and easiest to fix in the field, particularly compared to the TD5

I paid £600 for mine last year, then spent £1000 getting it up together for the mot 5 months later, but most other things I've managed to do myself

2.5n/a int they?

yep most if not all were 2.5n/a engines. would have thought that there would be some turbos kicking about. I believe that there are some older wolfs, making there way out aswell. the TA already have some, so next stop will be mod reliese to civi street

The army has not bought new land rovers for some time. The ones that are fairly new are Td5s the wolf green fleet is in the middle of a life extension program all reconditions 300s go into them.
