Morning!

I’ve been through the ingress manual and thought I’d covered the lot. Seems I’ve got one remaining leak.
Any pointers or think I have to pull dash top again to get to route...

Take off dash top easiest method.
im going for bulkhead vent seal.
(Unsure why it’s tracked along the binicale...
Not from roof is it?)

haha who knows!! Vent seals were replaced a month ago with genuine items. Yes think it’s going to have to be a dash top off job! I’ve gone around so much of it with mastic and think passenger is leak free - this seems to be the last leak
 
Some times them stick on seals need a bit of a tighter tug on the knob :eek:
I have got them really tight and not opened again since getting them good. Hopefully it’s not them. I also went over the windscreen to bulkhead seal with pu sealant and did the roof, tub joint, windscreen hinges, new door seals (genuine) too.
I’ll take it up to the yard and get the hose on it when I have a free day to tinker.
 
Think Some have little grommets on bulkhead outside below screen

It was infact missing one of those when I went around sealing so that was replaced.

I have the genuine foam seals on vents but I reckon there may still be a gap where the mechanism has worn with time.

I've ordered the rubber seals too and thinking I may double up i.e. rubber on recess and keep the foam on the flap??

@Hicap phill I think you may be right that vents still leaking.
 
This is what I will do. Trim the top edge off of my existing foam seals, fit rubber seals and re-drill vent mount.

Just as I typed that the postman delivered new seals!!! Its pouring though and I really need to do work instead of the LR distractions we all face lol.

^^^ they perish over time.

you been over tightening it and the arm is bent?
close it then check outside see if it’s tight, check little metal teeth on holder are not distorted/worn
 
If you get the early rubbers that go round he bulkhead don’t adjust the levers s you will break them.
Never used the foam ones as a back up/secondary seal.
 
While fixing my windscreen washers I noticed this water on the bulkhead. It was going along the windscreen Chanel & running onto the windscreen lower seal.
It then tracked inside via a gap in the door seal where the screen bolts to the bulkhead
Have hit the door seal further on hoping this works.

While fixing my windscreen washers I noticed this water on the bulkhead. It was going along the windscreen Chanel & running onto the windscreen lower seal.
It then tracked inside via a gap in the door seal where the screen bolts to the bulkhead
Have hit the door seal further on hoping this works.

Remove the section of seal near the gap, apply a small amount of sealant (I use black glazing sealant), refit seal while sealant is still wet. Mine don’t leak anymore, but somewhere else is now.

Seems they all leak there. I’ve sealed mine right up there and gone alone all the foam with water tank sealant
 
Ps your leak is door seal, top gutter runs down inside front A shut then drips seal through bit above, the kinked bit......

I cured that one! With brand new lr seals! I’ve no idea now. I don’t ever want carpets. It’s more saving the bulkhead and not having a wet boot hovering over the throttle. (Ridiculous design)
