Got my eye on a W reg Defender 90. Looks OK but can't tell if it would have the original type interior/dash or the slightly mordernised one?

Anyone know if it would look like this?

The dash changed mid 2002 to the above. Used on TD5s only

As Bankz has said, the make-over came in 2002, the one in the photo has air-con too, which would have been an optional extra. A W reg should have the 'classic' Defender dash with electronic gauges and new style warning lights.

It's that centre console that was new in 2002. So if a W registered one has it, it's probably been fitted afterwards.

They are the outlets for the aircon, and yes they do work! It's not the most powerful system ever, but it does work.

But they distribute cold air....most of the time l want my heater to give some warmth. Like today, end of April and it's snowing.
