Bought my p38 and its got land rover stormers 20,s on it ....Could someone tell what size 20 spare steel I need that fits a p38....went to buy one today and was told it won't fit a p38...I would buy another stormer but there 170quid and can't afford it at mo...cheers....also what other land rover models wheels fit a p38...

Depends what tyres you have on your 20" wheels. You need a spare with the same rolling radius. Your 20" will be L322 wheels, they will only fit a P38 with new wheel nuts and spigots to fit in wheels to reduce inner of wheel to fit the P38 hub. If you have 255/45/20 tyres on your 20" wheels you could use a standard 255/55/18 spare, but you would need to carry wheel nuts for it and a wrenching bar as a wheel brace with a socket to fit the L322 nuts and one for the P38 nuts.

That was where i was going, that's exactly what i'm doing.

Cheers for.that...I assumed the nuts were the same....I'm off down the breakers asap for a 18 then ...found a 16 orignal wheel in the spare wheel place....I thought''what the f"....I assumed there a stormer in there....assumption the mother of all.f&%$ ups'....

A 16" will do if it has the correct tyre on it. What tyres are on the 20"s and what tyre is on the 16"?

I'll have a check in morning when I angle Torque my head ...was going to.do the head gasket and found half the head bolts weren't torqued correctly and tight enough...so in a minute of madness ..I thought let's just see for the sake of 16quid.....use my new bolts and torque up as per book and low and behold ...No bubbles in.expansion tank and no water out the overflow....phewwww hope it lasts for another30k lool
