That's it exactly :)
I suppose it depends on your routine.
are you a simple road user,
are you occasional off roader,
or all of the above?
just normal road use. nexan's or any of the 100% road tyres in 16"s or 18/19's.
a bit of both on/off road then a bigger fatter tyre gives more plump and less precision.
for me its 50/50 on and off. mine will corner well at 56mph on 16's. any more a 2.25tonnes skidding on the road is really f""cking scary…..;)

I plan to do a bit of everything with it. I don't see the point in having a capable 4x4 and putting road only tyres on it.
What do you call bigger and fatter? I don't want to knock the Speedo out
Like you say, it's not a sports car in any stretch of the imagination!

No need for bigger and fatter really. I've done plenty of off roading and unless you're in the deep mud then Grabber AT2 do it with ease - snow too. The fat tyres help marginally with big ruts and when really boggy. But getting stuck is fun! Ask Dopey!

As the grrrrrrr says nothing bigger than standard, the 16"s just give you more tyre than the 18/19".
I have the general at3 255/65/16.
Absolutely brilliant tyre for me on and off the road. If mine wasn't an off capable I couldn't justify keeping the old bugger:cool:

Fair point.
If i didn’t need something to pull cattle/trees through mud I wouldn’t need silly huge tyres, or a P38 and probably have a little van :(

To that, they guy I lent my chain to some years ago says he’s found it and I can have it back! Let’s hope it is my one not a fob off, can’t get them for love nor money anymore.

I right stuff down and my phone changes it??

Mine does this

That's progress for you. I've always had very good English. What I really need is a 2 bit phone that has no f*cking idea "correcting" me. Actually, it has more than 2 bits. 2 bits in a byte, isn't it? This probably has 8GB of RAM? So 16 billion bit phone ... it is still wrong though.

mine likes to replace a comma with a full stop, i've really no clue why! they're on opposite sides of the space bar so you can't exactly hit the wrong one by mistake

Mine keeps changing plurals to possessive. 2 cats becomes 2 cat's. 2 cat's what?!

right ok.. unless someone pipes up and says they are really crap.. I think I'm going to take a gamble on the General Grabber AT3

I have cooper discoverer STT (32”)

Much better than I expected. Good in mud quiet on road for what they are and they’ve lasted

I only have them on the back. They handle weight no problem
