Ok then how thick can you go with wheel spacers using standard wheels and nuts.

I have 15s fitted at the mo, could be going upto 18s if summer ever gets here

Iv tried to do a search but im not on my own laptop and for some reason I cant search
So some help on sizes would be nice

If your fitting OE 18's I don't think your need spacers, as long as you use the standard size tyre. :)

If you don't go wider than 235 section tyres you shouldn't need spacers.

However I fit 10mm spacers to the front and 7mm spacers to the rear when I fit my 7mm lightweight snow chains, for low speed use in countries where there are no snow-ploughs.

So the answer to your original question is 10mm spacers can be fitted without resorting to longer studs.

But don't blame me if a wheel comes off halfway round the Nurburgring if you're trying to set a Freelander lap record.

Your best bet would be fit 17" wheels and 235/55 17 tyres which Is what I did.

Road-holding and appearance improved no end.

Tyres fill the wheel arches so it would give a wider stance.

Got a set of 18s fitted today with 245/45 tyres

No pics yet. But I think it looks the muts

The wheels are ZCW snoop mat black with polished face
