I've acquired a 2011 4.4V8d Vogue SE and its got four 21" wheels but the spare is 20". Firstly, does it matter? And secondly, if it does, can anyone identify the correct wheel size to enable me to source one?
Hi, thanks for your help. I'm hoping someone can confirm the lettering stamped on the inside of a 21" wheel. Something like 9.5J x 21? My other alternative is to get one of my wheels off and check. Whilst I'm capable, at my age, I'm hoping to avoid it. I already have a brand new tyre that came with the car so it is just a wheel I need!Ours was 20" as standard and we run 19 for winter tyres.
Check the size in here Tyre Size Calculator (tiresize.com)
If its the same circumference then no problems.
If its not then I guess it would depend on how much.

I run 20 inch tyers and wheels on my l320 sport my spare is a 19inch came with the RR it basically a space saver wheel I can't go no quicker than 50 mph with it on it only designed to help get me to a tyer repair shopI'm separated from the vehicle for another ten days due to working away. But I'll post a pic as soon as I can!
i beg to differ, one wheel will rotate at a different speed traction control will apply brakes to try and even the speeds out thinking you have a wheel slipping until it gives up and lights the dash upI run 20 inch tyers and wheels on my l320 sport my spare is a 19inch came with the RR it basically a space saver wheel I can't go no quicker than 50 mph with it on it only designed to help get me to a tyer repair shop
so un answer to original question it doesn't matter if your spare is smaller than what on the other 4
thats why they advise you not to to more than 50 with the spare wheel on as I said it just a stop gap to get you to a safe place so you can get original tyer fixedi beg to differ, one wheel will rotate at a different speed traction control will apply brakes to try and even the speeds out thinking you have a wheel slipping until it gives up and lights the dash up
I suspect your space saver may have an overall circumference close to the other wheels because if there is any significant discrepancy TC or ABS is likely to be triggered.thats why they advise you not to to more than 50 with the spare wheel on as I said it just a stop gap to get you to a safe place so you can get original tyer fixed
thats what the local stealer told me when I asked about itI suspect your space saver may have an overall circumference close to the other wheels because if there is any significant discrepancy TC or ABS is likely to be triggered.
Including the circumference?thats what the local stealer told me when I asked about it
the spare is a totally different size to what I've got on the rrs
this is the size I have on and my spareIncluding the circumference?
So, if you stand the wheels next to each other, are they the same diameter?
Put the 2 sizes in the link I posted to the OP and see what the difference is.
Oh and that don’t look like a space saver, more like odd wheels as originals where changed but only 4.

yes they are same diameterSo, if you stand the wheels next to each other, are they the same diameter?
The 20's must be wider than normal looking at the kerb rash.yes they are same diameter
the dealer told me even though I've got 20 inch rims the spare is a 19inch tyer and has a deeper profile so it makes it the same as the original ones
previous owner liked the kerbs I've got it booked In to be refurbishedThe 20's must be wider than normal looking at the kerb rash.
Don't tell me,it was the previous owner. beat me to it.The 20's must be wider than normal looking at the kerb rash.
