Hi all,
I have fitted a set of D1 freestyle wheels to my 90, they have the proper D1 alloy nuts but they keep coming loose, what sort of torque wrench setting should i be using

I just use a bar to get um nice and tight,
When I had my mach5 wheels fitted by tyre place they torqued um to what it said on the computer and 45 mins later on the m62 my wheel nuts was all lose !!!

Do the wheels fit fully on the hubs? They don't fit properly on alot of the earlier hubs and so although looking good they're not fully seated. This would then give rise to nuts which don't tighten properly.

They're not over drum brakes are they?

the rears are drums and stay tight, the fronts are discs, its a 1988 90. i retightened them very tight and so far have stayed tight , have used it all day and fingers crossed they tight

180nm on my wolf rims on my 90. Never had a problem with them coming loose !

Hiya mate, if they are genuine d1 free style wheels then they shouldn't fit your drums with out spacers!
If they are fire style they would fit.

I have freestyles on my 90 and after the wheels have been off I always torque them to the correct setting and then again after a few miles. If I don't do them again I know they will come loose. It sems to be an issue with disco's as well, my mate has a 300tdi and has the same problem (and solution)

never had a prob with any of mine - always torqued to 95 ft lbs.
