Can anyone confirm what size the wheel nuts will be on my 1988 90 please? It didn't come with a wheel nut wrench or jack so I need to get some as soon as possible. Does anyone know who sells suitable sized wrenches?

Just measured me nuts and they are 27mm A/F, which converts quite nicely to 1and1/16", but my wheelbrace measures best part of 30mm A/F!!!!!!!!!

OK? so every one can manage to drive there wagon without carrying a complete tool kit? Mine seems to be quiet TPG heavy (Tools Per Gallon) say a billion sockets?

How to make my Landrover

1 Billion x nuts and bolts
1 x tub of that funny orangy paint
Copius x oil
lots off x mud (Highlands only)

Mix oil and mud together to form a nice stiff paste, add nuts and bolts. allow to dry to a nice crust. And to finish dribble on paint.

lol. Well, I'm sure by the time I'm done I'll have a decent tool kit on board. For now, if I get stuck I'll be relying on the AA :p:

Cheers for your help Yella ;)

i noticed that too mondy but i chose to ignore it ;)

ok grunt a quick lesson in spanner sizes,
mm is metric
3/4 is af
5/16w is whitworth

you cannot have a combination of two therefore if yer spanner is 30mm then it is metric and not af ;)

Awh Grunt! dont tell us yer got a floppy one!

Only 'till I get the delivery from the viagra poster.

ok grunt a quick lesson in spanner sizes,

mm is metric as you quite rightly say, but A/F means "Across Flats", and goes for Both Metric and Imperial wether it's Whitworth BSF or whatever. If you say for instance that a nut or bolt is 27mm you are stating the thread diameter of the bolt not the Across Flat size of the bolt head or nut.

Now then this brings us on to what I think you mean when you say
3/4 is af
do you mean "American Fine" ? Which is "ANF" and is for most thread diameters the same as the british "UNF" or "Unified fine".

So there.
