Cheers will have a look. What do I need for the job altogether as I have never done them before. Two bearing sets, hub nut box spanner and some swivel grease. Is that everything??

Also, I take it from reading on here that I do not want Britpart bearings and Timken are the best to go for?

yep,i used timken last time, took the hubs off and did the brake discs too seeing as i was in there, also check swivel bearings,

personally i would just do the whole axle as yer in there anyway and you will know where your at,

you will need a drift and a press to do the swivel ball bearing cups,

Just found out both my front wheel bearings are gone so need to order some new ones. My 90 is a 1985 but has had engine, axles and gearbox from a 300 tdi fitted. Would these be the right bearings for the job??

LAND ROVER DEFENDER WHEEL BEARING KIT TIMKEN BEARINGS | eBay
that would fit a 300 tdi axle ,timken are the ones to go for ,you can remove old race with a punch but fit new with a press and tool or use old race to protect new race if fitting with a hammer ,you cant use a punch direct on the edge of new bearing without damaging it ,pack bearings full with grease but dont completely fill hub, adjust bearings by tigthening first nut tight then back off then by hand on socket or box spanner just remove all play you can feel it ,then fit washer and lock second nut up tight ,lock washer has to be bent over both nuts ,opposed is best
