You can easily get an LPG worthiness certificate from an installer. Has it been declared to DVLA as LPG and does it say so on the V5?
Rear chassis rust out on these, check it thoroughly.

If it's been declared, it will be shown on the V5 registration document.
It's important for the following reasons:
1. It's always important for the details on the V5 to reflect the current condition of the car.
2. Your insurance company needs to know that the car has been modified and may ask for a copy of the V5
3. LPG is considered by the authorities to be a 'clean' fuel - ie London's Environment Zone or whatever it's called. There are many other cities across the UK and Europe that are considering the same approach.
To prove the car's environmental credentials the LPG aspect needs to be on the V5.
If it's not been declared and if you buy it you can declare it at the same time as registering it in your name.
That's why it's important.

Your a bit out of date the biglad.
In the past LPG vehicles were exempt from the London congestion charge, but only if they were fitted with LPG by the factory and registered so. Retro fitted LPG vehicles were not.
But now that is no more, I have two vans working in the congestion zone every day so now is £10 per van per day.

Mate is thee a safety certificate with the LPG conversion ? Be careful with gas. Friend of mine bought an MX5 BMW with gas conversion. There were no certificates with the car and it cost a fortune to put right.
One leak and maybe BANG and when gas goes off I would not like to be close to it.

Ah well that's the problem with being away from "the Ol' Country" for so long.
So LPG equipped vehicles are no longer exempted then, is that what you're saying?
