been under the bonnet so sort throttle cable today (now sorted)

but while i was there i noticed this...

its some sort of switch...but what for :confused:
 
ahhh, a'l sleep the neet

i thought i was a switch for an under the hood light, as i had one on a saab years ago, but i obviously could'nt find a light and thought it was missing

It's a good idea though, would come in handy if you stopped in a dark spot!
 
defo leds just in case water pays a visits. Me thinking LED strips or something more powerful. You never have enough light :hippie:
 
Someone (previous owners) fitted a 12v Fluoroscent tube on mine and it's crappy since it's a VAN and takes all types and sizes of cardboard boxes inside Might be changing them soon. have they a switch on board by any chance?
 
use to have neons under the bonnet of my classic mini to help when it died which it did a few times i have neons in rear of my freelander now and will be lighting up under the hood again so handy when ur on the hard shoulder ;)

Aren't neons fragile-er than leds though?

no switch, but prob easy to fit one

might have a go myself when the weather picks up
