Left my landy sitting sorn'd for a while an noticed a few drips of oil under it. Think this is where it's from looks like an easy fix but iv been wrong before. Any tips or advice always welcome!

Def a sump gasket, changed mine last year, had to get the grinder on the sump to remove the remains of the gasket. i also used a broken sharpening stone to get a really flat clean surface on the engine block, and then loads of silicone.

You sure you should be doing this , as you needed to ask what it is !!?????:hysterically_laughi

I am pretty useless to be honest! Just wanted to make sure it wasnt more difficult than it looked (been caught out in the past!).

Just gettin my list of stuff to sort before i get my MOT.

Flywheel housing gasket was a bitch on mine. Ended up using a rigid blunt scraper as a chisel and a small hammer to chip it off. I thought the sump didn't have a gasket?

Not sure what engine yours is, must have left my anoraks hat somewhere else! But on the 300tdi wolf engines at work they have no gasket we use loctite 5990 sealant brilliant stuff that we use for absolutely everything!
